Kuaripass Trekking

Kuari Pass: It is at an elevation of 4265m in the heart of Chamoli District of Uttrakhand in the northeastern part of Garhwal. From Gorson, the imposing view of the eastern part of Garhwal Himalayas is truly breathtaking, appearing so near, that one feels like reaching out and touching them. The prominent peaks visible from Kuari Pass are Nanda Devi, Doonagiri, Bethartoli, Devasthan.

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
After arrival at Delhi airport you can check in at any hotel for overnight stay according to your choice/budget.

Day 02: Delhi Haridwar (230 kms/6 hrs)
In the morning take a AC train for Haridwar at 06:55 hrs. You will be Haridwar at 11:25 hrs. On arrival check in at any hotel, take rest. Evening free to explore the area. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 03: Haridwar Auli (260 kms/8-9 hrs)
After an early breakfast drive to Auli (2750m) via Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnprayag and Nandprayag, the most famous confluences of Garhwal Himalayas. Lunch enroute. Arrival at Auli by evening. Upon arrival at Auli check in to Tourist Rest house. Dinner and overnight stay at TRH.

Day 04: Auli – Chitrakantha (3310 mts/10857 ft) 15 kms/6-7 hrs. Early in the morning one can see the magnificent view of Nanda Devi peak. After breakfast you will start our trek from Auli. Enroute we will cross the famous Bugyals (meadows) of Gorson and from here we can see the entire range of Nanda Devi sanctuary, along the Rishi Ganga. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 05: Chitrakantha – Kuaripass (3640 mts/11940 ft) – Dakhwani (3300 mts/10824 ft) 14 kms/5 hrs
In the morning after breakfast trek to Dakhwani via the Lord Curzon trail Kuaripass. The route is full of thrill and excitement . Dinner and overnight stay in tents.[/one_half]

[one_half_last]Day 06: Dakhwani – Pana (2450 mts/8036 ft) 14 kms/5-6 hrs. In the morning after breakfast trek to Pana. Enroute find lush green meadows, water falls, snow capped mountains and much more. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 07: Pana Ramni (2550 mts/8364 ft) 17 kms/5-6 hrs. In the morning after breakfast trek to Ramni village. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 08: Ramni – Ghat (1330 mts/4363 ft) 15 kms trek/4 hrs Srinagar
In the morning trek downwards to reach roadhead Ghat and from there drive to Srinagar (110 kms/3 hrs). Dinner and overnight stay in hotel at Srinagar.

Day 09: Srinagar Haridwar (125 kms/4 hrs) – Delhi
After breakfast drive to Haridwar. On arrival at Haridwar visit railway station to catch AC train for Delhi at 18:05 hrs. Arrival at Delhi by 22:45 hrs. on arrival at Delhi check in to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 10: Delhi Departure
After breakfast take a half day sight seeing at Delhi. Evening drive to airport to catch onwards flight.

VALLEY OF FLOWERS & HEMKUND SAHIB TREK

Valley of Flowers:

The beautiful valley situated at an altitude of 3300 to 3650 mts is the ‘paradise’ of nature lovers. Starting from about 6 kms from Bhinduar village it covers an area of about 87 square kms.
The valley blooms with exotic flowers from June, July till September. There are about 520 species of flowering plants and the area was declared as a National Park in 1982. The animal like Himalayan black bears, musk deers, brown bears, Bharal and rich variety of birds and butter flies are found in this national Park.

1. Joshimath Govind Ghat Ghangaria

After breakfast leave for Govindghat thereafter 13 Kms trek to Ghangharia. Overnight stay at Ghangharia Hotel / Camp.

2. GhangariaValley of Flowers Ghangaria

After breakfast with packed lunch leave for Valley of flowers. Return back to Ghangharia. Overnight stay at Ghangharia (16kms trek/ 6hrs) Valley of Flowers Area in July.

3. Ghangaria Hemkund Sahib Ghangaria

After breakfast leave for Hemkund Sahib. After Darshan and Pooja return back to Ghangharia. Overnight stay at Ghangharia.

Auli 10 Kms motor road from Joshimath is the best-equipped center for ski resorts in India. It is connected to Joshimath by a 3.5 km long cable car; it provides an excellent panoramic view of the mountain peaks like Nanda Devi, Kamet and Dronagiri. From January to March, the Auli slopes are usually covered with a thick carpet of snow, about 3m deep. The stretch of 3-kms with a drop in elevation of 500m is considered to be a very good skiing ground by international standard. Clean 10-20 km slopes provide excellent opportunities for cross – country and downhill skiing. The resort has a 3 km long slope ranging from a height of 2519m to 3049m, which is its major attraction. Snow beaters are utilized to keep the slopes in good shape all the time. A ski lift carries skiers back to the top of the slope saving them a long 500m walk. Don’t expect much by way of apres-ski, though.
